Registration requirements:
(See NACHR divisions to see Division horse qualifies for)
1. Completed Registration Application TYPED completely filled in, for each section.
Incomplete forms will not be processed until all items/data are provided.
2. Current fees included or copy of your payment.
3. Hair sample with DNA form or DNA parentage report (plus recording fee) In 2018 all newly registered horses must be DNA TYPED. All ACTIVE ICHO/NACHR Breeding stallions & Mares are required to be DNA tested for offspring to be registered. If you have DNA reports from other labs or registries, send a copy of the DNA report and a $10.00 other lab recording fee. Geldings are not required to be DNA Typed.
All Stallions, colts, Mare, fillies are requried to be Coat Gene Tested. It can be done with DNA typing or with the Genetic Panel.
4. Four view photos (left, right, front, rear from ears to hooves, the whole horse in photo) Cropped before emailed.
5. Current ICHO Membership or pay Non Member fees per horse.
*NOTE- If your horse is an exotic color like Silver, champagne, smoky, etc, you must include color test results. Other colors that are easily identifiable from a photo do not need testing like chestnut, sorrel, bay, black, dun, palomino, cremello, perlino, sabino, tobiano, etc.
E-File registrations- We now accept all registrations by e-Filing, go to- E-File .
